In math we are learning about place value. It is easy. I will tell you all about it. If I had the number 989 for example,the 9 would go in the hundreds place,the 8 would go in the tens place, and the 9 would go in the ones place. It is called place value because the numbers have their own values and they go in certain places to make a number.There is also the thousands,ten thousands and billions place and so on and so forth. Also,we learned about Standard form and Expanded form. Here is an example of standard form:
7909 is standard form. Now here is 2 examples of expanded form using the same number: seven thousand nine hundred nine
This is a place value chart
OR 7000+900+9
